Grind Rat ("we", "us", "our") is built to help college students build healthier habits, find accountability partners, and connect with their campus community. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
1. Information we collect
- Email address
- Phone number (if you choose to sign up with one)
- University affiliation
- Profile information you provide (display name, handle, avatar, interests)
- App usage data (habits, streaks, Grind Score, events you join)
- Subscription and billing status (we never store full card numbers)
2. How we use your information
- Match you with accountability partners
- Connect you with communities on your campus
- Improve app performance and reliability
- Provide customer support
- Send notifications you have opted into
3. Information sharing
We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We share information only with service providers who help us operate the platform (hosting, authentication, analytics, payment processing), and only as needed to run Grind Rat.
4. Your rights
- Access the information on your profile at any time
- Update your information from Settings
- Delete your account from Settings → Account → Delete Account
- Request removal of personal data by contacting support
5. Data security
Passwords are encrypted and never stored in plain text. Personal information is stored in access-controlled databases. Payment information is handled by PCI-compliant processors.
6. Children
Grind Rat is intended for users 17 and older. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.
7. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated in-app.
